Lake St. Clair Nature Center

I came to the nature center at Lake saint Clair metropark with my son's 2nd grade class. We went on a tour of the facility and of the nature trail with one of the guides who was very helpful and also very patient with children. The material at the facility was very informational and well put together. The displays were all in good shape and working order. We were able to see multiple species of birds at the feeders behind the building and on the trail we saw deer, muskrat, snake, swans, geese, ducks and various fauna. I definitely recommend this place for an afternoon fun and learning.

This is a nice place to go close to the city where you can connect with nature without the trip up north.

This is a nice clean family friendly park to walk around the nature paths or even goto the beach. The staff is very friendly and always ready to assist. It makes for a very relaxing day out.

Loved it! Went with a friend and enjoyed seeing many animals of different species eating and gathering food in the same area. Enjoyed the explanations of the staff to our questions. Loved seeing small birds, smaller than the palm of my hand, flutter to our enormous viewing window and then sizing up the animal/bird crowd before making a dash for some food hidden in a tree or a nearby created wooden spot where a larger bird had just left. The nature center was a very comfortable room on a chilly day.

So much to see at the window on nature... So many great birds and other creatures show up at the feeders. Great place to take the kids to see animals up close. Great friendly knowledgeable staff always on hand to teach ????
