We dropped in on a Sunday after a weekend in the thumb. We were there around 2 pm and the docents were very accommodating and told us all about the home and its history. There was plenty of parking and the home is about 25 yards from the parking lot. There’s some interesting medical history here as well with Dr. Joseph Loop earning a medical degree from U of M - the original diploma is on the wall! Worth a stop if you’re driving through.

Stumbled on this little gem. We didn't take the tour but the grounds are very cool with several buildings. There is a barn theater as well. They had a farmers market and horse carriage rides. A bluegrass band. Also a very cute general store
