  Cute little cabins on lake Huron. Has all the appliances you would have at home for an extended stay, including cookware. Nice screened in porches. Very kid friendly with play equipment and arcade. Only complaint would be no air conditioning.

  Horrible service and communication. This seemed like a great, quaint family reunion spot. The location was nice. The cabins are rustic and bug friendly. Lots of ants crawling around in the kitchen when we moved in. We originally booked a week. Then decided we didn't need a whole week so we asked to amend our reservation. They got back to us saying we will let you know when it is rebooked and will refund you those days. They didn't. I reached out to them two weeks before check-in and they let me know that the last two days of our reservation was re-rented. We checked in on a Sunday and originally asked to check out Sunday. Since Wednesday and Thursday was not re-rented, we still paid for those days, in full. The gentleman behind the counter was of little conversation, not welcoming and did NOT tell us that our check out date needed to be on Wednesday because they indeed re-rented out the other two days. I was handed two parking passes, both stating checkout was Thursday. The bill I signed didn't state a Wednesday checkout, either. Their ice machine had no ice in it and they had no idea when it would show up. "Later" was the answer the dude gave us. On Wednesday, Mr Incommunicado came down to the beach where the family was sitting and asked who was in our cabin and notified us that we needed to checkout. Luckily we had family to help pack everything up. Little known fact about this place: they only run your refunds at the end if the month. That is pretty unacceptable and inconvenient to your customers. Our family was extremely disappointed in the service, lack of communication and refund "policy"....since they don't have that in writing it air quoted. Not staying here...ever...again. I suggest you do your homework on this place. Below is their response to my opinion and experience. This was the most communication I have ever received from them. Again, aside from my personal experience, it was a great location and beautiful property. I wish them the best.

  Pros:
  Kid friendly
  Beautifully kept
  Quiet
  Clear water
  Private beach for guests only
  Lots of beach seating
  Charcoal grill provided
  City water
  
  Cons:
  Water heater kept going out
  No circulation in the cottages
  
  - Cottages are very vintage inside, which to me adds to the island shanty vibe. It smells like grandmas house when you walk in. Our family will be back!
