Makeba Restaurant

The decor and menu were a little bit rough around the edges but the food was good. Service was okay, staff not too attentive despite the restaurant being empty. I would definitely like to try more menu items. If they focused on finer details along with this quality of food would be quite impressed

Had a very pleasant lunch with super service provided by Jeanne. We had the fish chowder and the lobster club. Both were delicious, however, the chowder had a bit too much butter which was the first flavour I tasted. Of the five seafood chowders we've tasted this far, this one was the best (even with the excess butter). It was cream based but light. The scallops and shrimp were not over cooked and a nice juicy lobster claw! The lobster club may have become my new favourite sandwich. Lobster was nice and fresh and juicy and you could taste the bacon in the sandwich. Lightly toasted bread. The first were hand cut and delicious.

Very good restaurant. Excellent fish chowder. Cheese cake was delicious. Most items are made in house.

Best food I had in a long time ..
