Brian Baker Guitar Studio

I decided to learn guitar in my 50's and started with watching youtube videos. Taking the next step by going to Brian for lessons has been a great decision for me. Brian is knowledgeable, patient, easy-going and encouraging, as well as a hell of a guitar player !!! He has given me the confidence to try songs I had previously thought were beyond my skill level. While I still consider myself a beginner, thanks to Brian, I have a much better understanding of music and the guitar than I had when I started 3 months ago, and I plan to keep up the lessons and learning. Thanks Brian, for trying to teach an old dog some new tricks !!!

Where to start?

Without even factoring in the Guitar aspect of things; Brian's Studio is an incredibly positive space where you can talk about a shared passion, work through obstacles and seek input on new musical concepts. Regardless of the quality of my questions, I know the answers will be of the highest quality.

When it comes to the Guitar, I have been watching him play for more than a year and I am still impressed week in and week out at his ability to tackle any type of music I have thrown at him, do it on an acoustic and then stop to explain the theory behind everything that's happening. I always feel like each lesson is tailored for me and there was thought put into the content so it lines up with my goals.

My official review is six out of five stars here because when I think I have fully understood something, Brian usually shows me there is one more thing I hadn't yet considered.

Great place to go for lessons. My instructor is very passionate about teaching and seems to enjoy seeing growth in students. Definitely adaptable to your type of learning and not just applying a single method, of which I really appreciate. They align an instructor with your style as well.

Hours are flexible with good communication. I work shift work, so its really appreciated when we can keep in contact and make it work around an at times irregular schedule. Prices are competitive and fair in comparison to other locations.

Overall, I would recommend going here as it has been an all around great experience.

George has had a wonderful experience with Brian. George is usually withdrawn, but Brian brings him to life. Brian is really patient, and incredibly supportive. He starts new music regularly and keeps George interested. George's skills have improved amazingly over the 3 months that Brian has been working with him. After picking up some tips on line and learning a few guitar chords, I realized that I needed some lessons, a little structure.

A friend recommended Brian Baker. After a few months of weekly lessons, I can truthfully say this was the best decision I’ve made in awhile. Brian is a talented musician/teacher. He has given me confidence and is teaching me stuff I wouldn’t even think to find online. He has a confident and calm approach and makes each session fun.

I would highly recommend him as a teacher.
