Love this studio!! Great workout, but even better relaxation, centeredness, and balance within.

My first experience with yoga was at Yoga in the Village... I have to honestly say, I've never loved an instructed class more than I do with Rachel. Classes are intimate, calming and effective. I have more energy after yoga than I did after a rigorous gym session... which is one of the many reasons the gym and I broke up.

Given the history of the building, it's nice to see its integrity remain intact. The beautiful woodwork, open space, hardwood floors, tall ceilings and large windows brings forth a NYC appeal.

No worries if you're not prepared; the studio is stocked with mats, blocks, straps and towels! For those who are yoga-shy, unsure of their level/abilities or want the ultimate calming experience, try the "Yoga by Candlelight" class. Drop-in's welcome, and new student class-discount specials are offered. Also available are gift certificates (already on my Christmas list).

Because the studio is new to the area, the class sizes are smaller. Selfishly, I prefer it that way.... However, I know this studio will succeed and I'll need to learn to share my space with others.

For clarity - this is not a paid or compensated review. I give very few reviews, because I'm not easily pleased - consider this one the real deal.

Rachel is everything you want in a yoga teacher! She knows how to make everyone feel welcomed. She displays a genuine care to help others heal through her practice.

I’ve been coming to this studio since it opened and highly recommend Rachel’s classes. Rachel is great at sharing her knowledge on each pose and guides you with personalized modifications/adjustments to help receive what your body needs from your practice.
