(January 22, 2019, 5:33 am)Please bear with me on this review because the payoff at the end is worth it. We entered the Channelside during an overnight visit to Clayton. We were greeted by a bored and disinterested teenage hostess. We walked through a narrow bar where we were stared at by a group of locals. But then we entered a dining room with stupendous views of the St. Lawrence River. Our server was friendly, earnest, and accommodating. Definitely worth overtipping. The food was astounding. I had the perch fry. It was local perch and unforgettable. Ignore the entrance. It's definitely worth a visit.
