Whirlpool State Park

Nice park with a new play ground for kids. Top spot for fishing and picnic. Nice trails and you can learn history of Niagara gorge right here.

Very picturesque park, with breathtaking views of the whirlpool in the gorge. The park is well kept lots of information about the history of the park and man's interaction with the whirlpool over the years. It makes for a very interesting visit. It would also be great to visit with a knowledgeable tour guide as there's a lot of interesting stories about the general area surrounding the park.

Amazing park with great trails, amazing views, and beautiful scenery. Pick any trail and go exploring without having to drive for hours. Great exercise

This place was amazing we walked from Devil's to Whirlpool we did just about every trail and did the u derby the bridge walk then down the 345 steps down to the river and back up. Ended up doing 10 miles and it was definitely something to do again. It was level pretty much all the way until going down the steps. Easy hike minus the stairs but well worth it.

It's a serious cardio hike down to the river and back up on stone steps, but worth every minute for the views of the mighty Niagara River and it's seriously swift current just after the fall and whirl pool. It's a generally manicured hiking trail, but you have to watch your way occasionally for roots, rocks and other ankle benders. Beautiful, and calming and not to be missed.
