Sears Appliance Repair

Sears repairman replaced a seal that was leaking on a Sears dishwasher. No more leaks! Good job.

The repair man is great, however I am noticing that the dishwasher is still not cleaning my dishes. We have another appt set so I will discuss with him at that time.

All in all my stove was fixed but it was a bit inconvenient as I could not narrow down the arrival time to less than 8 hours. My appointment was scheduled between 8:00 and 5:00. The technician finally came at 1:30 so it would have been nice to have narrowed that down to 12:00 and 5:00 and I could have made better use of my morning. In the end I also found the overall cost to be very expensive. Almost $300 for a new oven ignition sensor. I knew their was a service call fee of $99.00 but I was hoping that that would be rolled into the repair. But it was tacked on to the parts and labor. I was offered a service plan that would have cut that in half but the service plan was $600 per year. I could buy a new stove for THAT price! In the end you are at the mercy of the repair service so " you gotta do what you gotta do". My stove is fixed but I'm not sure I will do that again. I'll just go buy a new stove. Which is probably part of the plan......"Just my opinion of course" :-)
