The Doctors House Inn & Spa

We went out to celebrate my wife’s birthday this Fall if 2020 and we had an awesome time! The food was very good, the beds comfortable , the grounds are beautiful and the most important this is that the staff bent over backwards to make your stay awesome! The Inn Keeper was a rock-star. When an issue arose he just fixed it. Restaurant service staff were efficient, professional and also very personable. Can not recommend this place enough....just spend a night there this Winter and get your hygge on!

Absolutely delicious lobster meal, one of the best I have ever eaten. Sweet staff person. No ginger beer for a dark and stormy. They offer a lovely looking menu after 6 pm.

My husband and I held our wedding at the Doctors House this July during the pandemic and it was such an all around wonderful experience. From the very beginning their staff were a pleasure to deal with. Their wedding coordinator Kathy was very communicative and there to answer all our questions and cater to all our needs as things continued to change during this complicated time. The barn loft where the reception is held is an absolutely stunning space and the whole food and beverage team lead by Kathy Sandra and Donna went above and beyond to make sure our reception went off without a hitch. The food was wonderful, flavourful, and plated very nicely as well! And the serving staff are lovely.

Melissa in the spa is also an absolutely wonderful team member. She made myself and the bridal party feel so relaxed while we were getting ready. My hair and makeup were flawless and didn’t budge all day.

The grounds and the Inn itself are absolutely breathtaking. Everything is clean and well maintained inside. You can spends hours just walking around the property enjoying the gardens, views, animals, and even possibly some whales in Trinity Bay if you’re there at the right time of year (which we were lucky to be). I stayed in the Chesnut room in the Inn my first night and the Guest House the second night and my only negative comment would be if you’re not a morning person and you’re staying there in the summer bring a sleep mask. Because if not you will likely be woken up early as a result of lack of blinds and some oddly placed sun lights in the ceilings.

The pride that the owner and the staff takes in their jobs is really prevalent when you visit this idealistic location. And it will help make for a wonderful stay, whether it for a wedding or just a weekend away.
