I’d certainly like to endorse John’s music school - Mansion on the Hill. My son has been a student here for the past three years and his abilities have jumped considerably since he started.

One of the main instructors, Kyrk, is simply awesome with kids and really works well with them. He’s also very flexible with instruments and can bounce between drums, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards.

As for John, he’s always there to help where needed. A couple of years ago, it was suggested that a band program be started to give kids an opportunity to play in a rock band setting under Kyrk’s supervision. My son loves it.

John’s also great at getting you good prices on instruments, equipment, repairs, etc. If you’re looking to get yourself or your child into music, Mansion in the Hill is a great place to go!

My son is really enjoying his piano lessons. Other than the first one, they have all been online which makes it very convenient for us! He is having fun learning how to read music.

Our eldest son has been going to Mansion on the Hill for the past 3 years. He initially started with drums, then guitar, and then finally settled on Bass, which he enjoys immensely. The main instructor there, Kyrk, is excellent with kids - very patient, knows his stuff, and very flexible. My son often switches it up with lessons. Mostly Bass but will bounce to drums or guitar depending on what he wants to do that day. Kyrk rolls with it and has the flexibility to move between several instruments. The fact he's an excellent musician himself certainly sweetens the pot! He's even taken on a mentoring role with two junior rock bands! So if your child wants to hone their skills and then get into a band, this is the place for them to be.

I will also point out that John Sotirakos, the owner, is excellent to work with. During the pandemic he's shifted gears several times to ensure that his clients are getting the best experience possible. He has adopted a virtual music studio for kids to keep learning while we are locked down. In addition, we have purchased numerous music related items from him and I would highly recommend you talk to him first before you buy an instrument, or accessories, elsewhere. He often beats his competition by a decent margin!

In summary, an excellent music school with great staff! Highly recommended.

Amazing guitar lessons! My son really enjoyed his experience and learned to read music, play classics, and even tried jamming his own tunes once in a while. Highly recommend.
