Shubie Dog Offleash Park

Great place to go for a walk with your dog! Don't come here if you don't like dogs though because it is often quite busy and you may end up on an off leash dog trail.

Excellent place for your dogs run and have freedom to roam.

A great off leash park with long paths and plenty of woods for dogs to explore. The Dartmouth equivalent of Point Pleasant Park. There’s a beach area designated off leash as well for dogs to splash and swim in during the warmer months. Water is clean and people swim with their pets all the time.
Garbage cans throughout the trails for poop bags and there’s poop bag dispensers at the park entry points. Good recall with your dogs is a must and most dogs and owners that frequent here are friendly.

Great place to take your dog off leash.

The street address given is the main parking lot near the Fairbanks Centre. There is a smaller parking lot closer to the offleash areas found by taking the second left off Locks Road onto an unnamed gravel road before the main parking lot is reached. The offleash area itself is several minutes walk to the south, next to the lake(that is, you will ride home with a wet dog!) The dogs will likely ignore you, but if you are not fond of dogs, it’s better to walk elsewhere in the park.
