Books Galore

Excellent selection in a very well organized space.

My husband and I love to visit Books Galore in Coldbrook, and never leave without a pile of good reads!! I have bought many second hand puzzles from Books Galore and most of the time all the pieces are packed into a plastic bag, however, the last puzzle I bought had three pieces missing because the 1000 pieces were loose inside the box. If I could suggest, to store management, that you put loose puzzle pieces into a plastic ziploc bag before selling them, your customers won’t be disappointed when they finish a puzzle only to find pieces are missing. Thank you for considering this option.

I always find a few treasures when I visit. I could spend hours here because the selection is huge!

Contender for the most organized bookstore in NS. If you're used to inching through messy, grimy, disorganized bookstores with high prices and crankster owners, this store will be a breath of fresh air. Decent selection, reasonable prices, professional staff, and no books littering the floor in the aisles. They have a credit program for the local folk, and have a discount shelf if you're just looking for something to read on the bus or at the doctor's office. Another pro for this store is that they have consistent hours, and until recently were open till 9 every day. This is one bookstore that is actually run as a business.

PS, don't be scared to go through the drawers at the back or the banana boxes between shelves. They contain overstock or books that won't fit on the shelves. I once asked for permission and the staff kindly said to go right ahead, that's what they're there for.

It's pretty big for used bookstore and has an unparalleled selection!
