Cozy and friendly staff and service in the Cafe...close to Heidi's studio Heart Wide Open, local wilderness and just the great outdoors.

The place was good for a night when needed. It is showing signs of age at this point, and some small repairs would go a long way. The sink taps were missing 1 label, the iron was missing it's closing cap, the shower tiles looked like they could be easily plucked out. The tv was small and the remote couldn't reach it from the bed. The lamps were each missing a bulb, and the walls were concrete. And there was wifi but no indication of what the password was. It's small stuff and on their own would be no big deal. When there's this many though, it adds up.

It was a very roomy layout. The sheets and pillows were clean, with extras in the drawers. The staff were very nice and accommodating. And the price was right. It's close to town and right on the main road without being noisy to traffic, which was a huge plus. The cafe had a TONNE of food options and you could order online! This alone is worth an extra star rating. It was made quick, priced right, and it was tasty. Very, very convenient.

If you're looking for an affordable place to crash, this is it. No extras, no fluff, just a clean bed with convenient food options.

Everyone eats here for the pie! The fishcakes and chow are amazing too. Hopefully they stay open until mid October.

We love the Evangeline Cafe! We have been coming here for 40 years and the meals are homemade and delicious. I highly recommend the haddock chowder that comes with a warm scone. ??
