Very fair prices and timely service

I heard good things about Banks Bikes, so when my shifter cable was seized I took it in to them to get fixed. When I dropped it off on Saturday I asked for a quote and the guy looked the bike over and said around $20 to fix the shifter cable when I called to check in on my bike they said it was done and the cost was 71 dollars. When I went to pick it up on Thursday I asked for the break down they told me about the Cat 4 tune up that I did not ask for. The quote that I was given was for the repairs I asked for, not the tune up they decided I needed without consulting me first.

Edited: The company has refunded my money for the service.

Great staff. On the way home from the city with my wife and two kids a driver in front of us had his bike fall of his rack and smash into us. By the time I got my wife and kids calmed down and turned around the other driver had picked up his bike and drove off, committing a hit and run.

While the police have said they will do nothing about it because there is no physical harm to us, the staff here told me they will keep an eye out for any smashed up bikes and contact me. It is not often that people will help others for nothing but it is nice when it happens.

Walked in on a Saturday morning with an out of true rear wheel and it was repaired right then in less than 5 minutes! I thought they would keep it a week; very impressed. They'll be doing any future repairs I might need.
