I am currently a student at Harbour Guitars, and I encourage anyone that is weighing out the possibility of building your own acoustic guitar to read through all the accurate and insightful testimonies written below.

Greg Wight is more than a premier acoustic guitar teacher and builder, he has the gift of ”building with” or “redeveloping” your apprehensions, and intimidation’s into, “I can do this confidence!”, no matter your age, gender, or woodworking skill set.

My guitar coarse offers me the priceless experience of relationships. Working beside other students that find themselves, as I do, in a once in a lifetime journey, crafting a custom, personally designed instrument, no matter the stage of life you find yourself at.

From a young boy, I’ve always had an introvert type personality. Sort of “sparrow on a wire” twitch if you will. Having to always muster up all my inner resources to meet new people, or try my hand at anything new, all the while, keeping one foot in the door, just in case it wasn’t my thing and I needed to take flight.

I say all this, as a testimony, to validate the mission statement that Greg Wight lives by and practices at Harbour Guitars.

Through the love and generosity of my family members on my birthday, I found myself to have landed on the doorstep of Harbour Guitars, and after shaking Greg’s hand and receiving a warm welcome, I quickly took my foot out of the door...

To all the students, I enjoy working and laughing with you, and to Greg and Lisa, a heart felt thank you for opening up the door to a world of unlimited possibilities.

I built a guitar at harbour guitar last nov till feb last winter. it is absolutely beautiful and enjoyed every minute of the experience. you don't have to know anything about the tools and machines you use as that is Greg's job . he explains everything and is an excellent teacher. and well versed in his craft. I plan on making another soon . I am now learning how to play my hand crafted one of a kind parlor guitar. I HAVE NAMED IT "MY BLEEDING HEART". I would encourage anyone who is interested in music to take the journey of building your own instirment there is such a connection when you play something that you yourself built

    Possibly 6 stars?!
I have and still am enjoying every second of this course!
Whether you are looking for a hobby or some knowledge on starting a new career path this is 100% where I would recommend anybody to start!
    Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.
Greg knows his stuff and will always set aside time to explain things to you, to better understand WHY and not just how.
In this course YOU do EVERYTHING! Every little piece is made by you and you alone. Greg will walk you through step by step and show you how to make a masterpiece!
Looking forward to future projects with Habour Guitars!

Same deal. Got this as a birthday present. I was a little apprehensive at first but Greg made me feel really comfortable and he is an amazing , smart and patient teacher. This course was by far one of the most gratifying things I have ever done. I ended up with an amazing beautiful guitar, made a great friend and I have something of real substance to leave my children. This is worth way more than what you pay for. Thanks Greg. We shall see you soon . Much love!!!!

Received the guitar building course as a birthday gift and really enjoyed it! This is one of those "life experiences" and to top it off, I have a great instrument that will last well beyond me. It was a pleasure to work with Greg Wight and also observe him teach others. Even though I have some woodworking experience, you can build a guitar without any, as Greg will take you through each process. He is a patient and thoughtful teacher.
