One of the best barber shops in the city, a upper floor that is very woman friendly salon type shop, my grandmother gets her hair done there and loves it, and a lower floor that has a more male oriented classic barber shop, best of both worlds for whatever you want

I’ve had pretty varying experiences here. The most recent time I came to an appointment, Howard made me stand in the doorway and interrogated me about if I was one of the Queen’s students partying during lockdown (I’ve been isolated), which I guess was reasonable but at the time felt hostile. After this he told me he overbooked and said I could instead get it cut with his nephew in the back. Ive had it cut by Trevor once before and told him What I didn’t want. He proceeded to give me the exact same cut that I asked not to get anyway. Despite that lack of hospitality Howard actually gave me 2 of the best cuts I’ve had which is why I kept going back.

I have been going to this salon for 37 years, I was assigned to Howard my very first time and have stayed his client, although I have had the pleasure of both Jack & Bill cutting and styling my hair as well. All 3 do a fantastic job and make you feel welcome. Good conversation and good laughs at the same time and of course great haircuts and styles. I definitely recommend, need I say more!?
