Epping Lookout Conservation Area

My favourite time to come here is fall, but mostly I just love coming here. Such a great lookout and it's absolutely beautiful.

This is a lesser-known, yet still incredible lookout point in Grey County. The View of the Escarpment is incredible regardless of the time of year you visit. On a clear day you can easily see Georgian Bay and the beaches of Wasaga Beach. There are some hiking trails accessible from here. Parking is free and there's benches for relaxing or enjoying a picnic. Visiting on a Sunday afternoon I was surprised that nobody was here. Some historic signs for reading as well. Less than 30 minutes away from Collingwood and Meaford.

Stopped when we saw a friend's car stopped here. So glad we did great view . If your on this highway stop for 5min stretch your legs.

Nice lookout area. Ample parking. Space for a picnic lunch. Wonderful views over the valley. For the energetic, there is a small 0.5 km loop through the forest. If you are looking to stretch your legs a bit more, the loop joins up with the Bruce Trail where you can head west into another small forest and to beaver dammed pond.
