Goldsmith's Orchard Market

Have to say they have some awesome pies! Tried the thornbury pie...think bumbleberry pie but with apples in it as well. I think it's one of the best pies I've ever had. I dont know how the crumble top stays crunchy , but wow. Even after warming in a microwave it still has a crunchy top.

Came here for the great apples. Many variety. Very flavourful. Their fruits have a fragrance that supermarket apples do not have.

Update :
One more thing... I really like their way of crowd handling inside the store... There is only one door to go in and one door to go out. The entrance and exit are separated by a barrier to prevent you from going in through the wrong door. You go through the store in one direction only like the Ikea concept. After you pay and exit, you signal the people waiting in line how many more persons can enter. It may sound straight forward, but there are some many Lean concepts in this methodology that you don't see in other retail spaces, including the massive box store. Great job!

Especially during these times, this little place provides a very necessary service. They sell local products in a safe, efficient way. Not to mention their delicious pies being a special treat.

Amazing selection of apples! They even have fresh baked goods - pies, muffins and other goodies. Definitely worth a visit.

Took a fall drive to Thornberry and dropped into Goldsmith Orchards. They offered a wonderful selection of apples, squash, pumpkins as well as other fresh vegetables. We came home with 4 bags full of fresh goodies. My only beef was there was only 1 checkout person which, as I found out at the end, contributed to the original queue to get into the store and pay. Having said that I can’t wait to try the apples!
