The cabin itself was immaculate, warm and cozy. The power got knocked out in a storm the night before and these folks didn't miss a beat. The generator was fired up so we still had water and hot water and an extension chord for essentials (we just played board games by candle light anyway and the stove warmed the place up perfectly).
They provided candles for the evening and we still had the bbq to cook until power was back. The location was so convenient - we spend the day working highway 60 and hitting trails - when came back power was restored and things were even better.
We would text our host and get timely practical responses. We plan on staying there again for sure!
