Tamarack Lodge Cottage Resort & Art Centre

It's just so idyllic. When I go to cottage country I don't expect tv and wifi. I want to "unplug". The lake is quiet and beautiful. The cabins are clean and comfortable. Plenty of wildlife to observe from hawks to wild turkeys; even the haunting call of the loons in the evening.

Barbara and Reiner are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend a stay at Tamarack. I found complaints posted here totally unfounded.

Me and my girlfriend needed a week holiday in the woods. We found Tamarack Lodge and it was amazing. We absolutely loved our cottage, it was cozy, a bbq, a fireplace , a lot of space and everything you need in the cottage. Reiner and Barbara were great hosts, they made sure we had a perfect week. Especially canoeing at the lake, fishing and making Smores at the fire pit were awesome! The lake is beautiful, peaceful and nice to some great supping/kayaking etc. We highly recommend this place, and we would like to come back another time. Michael

Participated in Barbara’s foraging class. What a wonderful morning. Her depth of knowledge is astonishing. Not surprised to learn that she’s been a master gardener, with interest in the culinary and medicinal properties of plants, including herbs. She walked us through foraging principles, identified plants in season, had us pick our own and finally treated us to a gourmet lunch showcasing what we’d picked. A fun and informative event.

Tamarack was beautiful place to stay. The view of the lake was so beautiful. The cottage was clean and well taken care of. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. If you wanna get away and just relax this is your place. I definitely will be going back every year.
