I had my hair cut by Melly. She is wonderful, I am totally happy with her work. Haighly recommend!

Had such a great experience here! I had my bridesmaid makeup done by Alex and was so impressed, my makeup was flawless and long lasting. Alex explained how everything was cleaned and sanitized, it really put me at ease... will definitely return for future weddings/events.

I moved from Toronto to Hamilton recently, and have been desperately seeking a salon that matches the skill of some of the higher end salons in Toronto. After a lot of searching and research, I found Glow Up.
Firstly... wow!!
Secondly... WOOOOOWWWW
I have to say, I was blown away!! The salon and beauty lounge is super clean and spacious for the actual size of the space. The lighting is great and the staff... unbelievable!
I'll attach pictures so you can see the miracle work of Shawn who took my raggedy and sad yellowy/coppery hair with WAYYY more roots then is appropriate for someone like myself with dark roots should have and turned it into the most stunning and Disney princess-like blonde I could have EVER hoped for.... he made my hair look even better than any of the previous stylists I have seen, religiously, in the past.
ANDDDD he explained EVERYTHING as we went... how my hair was lifting, ways to help breakage, products that will make my hair healthier and less frizzy!
He was such a delight, as was the owner, who did some GORGEOUS full faces of make up on these two lovely clients in at the same time as myself.

Trust me when I say I don't usually write such long reviews, but this place was both so memorable and good at what they do, I had to. It's absolutely no wonder why they have a solid 5 star rating. I will 1000% be back and hope I don't hype Shawn up so much that I will have to fight for appointment times in the future (because he is THAT good and I will legit fight ya'll to get an appointment).

I had a very difficult hair treatment (adding Grey Highlights to dark hair) done by Melly, it involved many steps and techniques. She had amazing knowledge and made me feel very comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Alex also assisted Melly and both made sure the experience was clean and safe. They took their time to ensure that I was completely happy with the result. The cost was in line with the products, treatment, and service I received, great value.

It would be hard to find someone more knowledgeable than Alex for all your beauty related needs. She is a true pro in every sense of the word. Whatever you are looking for, Alex and her team will go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied. Highly recommend!
