Westmount Recreation Centre

Staff and lifeguards here are absolutely excellent. Caring, friendly, kind.

This is the nicest rec facility in all of Hamilton, it makes other Hamilton rec centers look shabby in comparison. Hamilton absolutely needs a publicly-accessible 50 meter pool, and I home they will examine closing two of the more-terrible facilities to open a new 50 m pool somewhere in the city. That way, serious swimmers won't have to sneak into one of Burlington's two 50 meter pools anymore.

I love this place he westmont rec centre is super fun me and my buddies always come here to go swimming and play in the gym

The staff here are incredibly friendly. I bring one of my respite kids here to swim and use the open gym and the front desk receptionist is always welcoming - knows her by name and always addresses her (not the worker). Some of the gym facilitators have been great, but there's one in particular that doesn't seem to be super helpful. He often doesn't openly ask if we want anything (a basketball, soft ball, etc) and I find I usually have to chase him down to ask for one or my kid just goes and gets it herself. He is involved though as he often plays with the other kids who show up.
