I was extremely impressed and happy with Alex's work. Alex toured with me through hundreds of acres while setting up a MFTIP plan that works for my forest and me. Alex explained all the interesting details he looks for and gave me starting points to learn more on my own. Alex also managed a large logging operation in my forest - he was able to recognize the forest would benefit from a cut and write the perfect prescription for the forest. Alex marked the trees himself and worked with me throughout the process of finding the right loggers and monitoring the operation. Being relatively new to the Bancroft area, I was pleased to have Alex help me with the woodlot management of my 71 acres. He was extremely knowledgeable, walking my property with me and describing different species of trees, their age, state of health, etc. My biggest thanks to Alex was his preparation of my Management Forest Tax Incentive Program application – he did all the work and I received the benefit this year when my taxes were substantially less.
