There are some truly fantastic teachers at this school and the office staff have always been friendly and kind towards me. LCVI is in a very convenient location for part-time jobs and activities within the community. But the school itself is bland, and boring in appearance. Very little artwork is visible and basically all the halls are different tones of beige, I believe this contributes to the student's lack of spirit for any spirit day minus Trish day. Trish day is the only spirit day that has a nearly 100% participation rate. Any other one it's a lucky break for more than 20 students to show spirit. The staff and students are becoming more accepting, but there is still a definitely noticeable amount of homophobia, sexism, and racism. I believe this school needs more workshops for understanding differences, a renovation in terms of its looks, and really needs to build up the morale of its student body. Also despite having some of the most talented drama teachers I've ever met their is a sincere lack of care towards these arts in comparison to the sports in the school. It would be nice if all students' needs could be met because these courses are not just "fun". They are many students' fields of interest for future careers.
