We bought our first boat from Canadian Boat Sales (CBS) four years ago and are delighted with it and with the experience.

This father/daughter business is top notch both in quality of products and service. Here's what we've experienced:

1. When we first visited the lot, Andy, the owner, greeted us. We came to look at a Boston Whaler. As we walked around the lot, Andy asked us lots of questions about what we wanted from our boating experience. He then told us about a boat that he thought would be perfect. Turns out, that's the boat we bought and he was right. It's a 23' Sea Ray Sundeck.

2. He only showed us boats in our price range. He never tried to upsell us.

3. At this first meeting and through all of our talks, Andy constantly helped educate us, and he never talked down to us as "newbies".

4. Jessica, his daughter, has every bit of paperwork done perfectly. The transaction was seamless and painless.

5. Though Andy has sold much more expensive boats, he realized this was a big step for us. He took us out for a test ride. And he never pressured us. We needed to think it over, and he gave us all the time we needed.

The boat performs exceptionally well (every person we've taken on it is impressed). Most importantly, the engine is in fantastic shape and has been perfect.

Since buying this boat, we've learned a lot about boats and engines and marine service. We've worked with several marinas back in the United States side of the Thousand Islands (where we live), and most of those experiences have been negative (poor service and dishonest deals).
