My go to Metro store. Clean and Tidy, Well laid out. Meat department is fresh and staff are very helpful. Bakery is organized and well stocked. Produce is Fresh and inviting. I can always find what I can't find anywhere else. Staff is friendly and always there to help.

It has come to my attention recently that it is important to write reviews when a business goes above and beyond for their customers. I feel that about Metro at Adelaide & Cheapside. They are always so friendly. The store looks so bright and cheery, but not glaring lighting. They keep it so clean, washing down the carts and conveyor belts, etc. Love the deli. And I love chatting with my favourite wine lady, AM. Actually all the people who work in the wine section and the rest of the store are great. I was there one time when an anti-masker went ballistic and all the staff handled it calmly and fortunately the police arrived.

I want to say thank you to the employee from the bakery department who helped me with my purchase yesterday (Sept 1, in the afternoon). At first she wanted to pack my pastries in a plastic container. I wasn’t happy with that. She politely explained that pastries ‘might’ get squished in a paper box. I said, ‘it’s ok, I will be careful.’ I was happy with how polite and accommodating she was. Great customer skills. And the pastries are delicious. My kids loved them.

Ever since the renovation and start of pandemic this store has raised the bar. It is extremely clean and they are serious about covid rules. Generally well stocked and always have some good deals. I try to do all my shopping here to avoid other stores and crowds.
