Echo Falls Cottage

I'm a little biased but this Cottage keeps getting better and better, aging like a fine wine! Looking forward to seeing the end of the ongoing renovations with plans for new kitchen and main bath fall 2020.

We have rented this cottage a number of times, dating all the way back to 2002/2003. We hadn't been back for about a decade because of having kids, but we were pleasantly surprised when we found that Vince still owned it since he had always been a great host. The cottage has gone through some significant upgrades in the last 10 years but it still has that cozy family charm that we've always loved. This is a fantastic cottage to share with another family on a vacation -- Easy to get to, Baxter lake is a wonderful place to swim, boat and paddle (we love making trips out to visit the island) and the boathouse patio and dock provide a great home base for a day in the water. The fire pit and upper patio area is very nice and we did our evening meal of hotdogs and s'mores overlooking the lake. The cottage itself has everything you need (I remember when we first went we were amazed it had a dishwasher!) and has ample space to sleep many folks comfortably. The way the main floor is laid out with the kitchen, living and dining area means you can all be doing your own activities but still stay connected to each other -- it's really wonderful. This isn't a party town cottage, it's a relax and unwind cottage and that's exactly what we did. Even in late September, our ten year old managed a quick jump in the lake (70 degrees) that was brisk and refreshing. We're definitely planning on going back ... Vince and Lily are great people (Lily's wonderful artwork is all through the cottage) and are very responsive if you have questions.

My extended family and I spent an amazing week at the Echo Falls Cottage. There were 9 of us and we fit comfortably with room to spare in this beautiful cottage. We spent the week playing in the water, fishing off the dock, hanging around on the multiple outdoor decks and making use of the 2 kayaks's, canoe and 9hp boat rental. The fact this is located 2 hours from Toronto was a huge bonus.

We loved the experience at this small cottage. The view over the lake is breathless... We were a little disappointed by the weather though we enjoyed every seconds. Wish to come back

Spent the past weekend up at Echo Falls. What a great place. The cottage was clean, warm and prepared for our arrival. The hot tube was perfect for the cool nights and the view was beautiful. The owner, Vince had delivered on all my requests to make the weekend perfect for my family. I will definitely go back next year. My wife is asking for a summer and a visit earlier in the fall, to enjoy the leaves changing. Added a picture from the look out deck
