Brett and Pauline are really knowledgeable and helpful. We live in a remote community so we were unsure what options we had when looking at refinancing. Just getting a mortgage originally was very difficult with a lot of companies not willing to lend in our location. This was also during the pandemic so made everything a lot more interesting.

Brett and Pauline were able to secure us the mortgage advised to us by Tyler at Strata Wealth and Risk Management. They were always very quick in answering any questions me or my wife had and would even call to check in to make sure that we completely understood. These were also conjoined with email updates on how things were going.

I feel we had to work them extra hard with the fact we lived in a remote community such as having to find and fly in a home valuer to our location as well as organizing the lawyers as we do not have any in our community.

Both Pauline and Brett did an amazing job and would recommend them again without hesitation.

Before getting my first mortgage, a few people had told me to use a broker. I didn't listen. It just seemed easier to go through my bank since I was familiar with them and assumed they would get me a good rate.

I wish I had listened. After speaking with Branden and his team at Strata Mortgages, I realized how much money I could save by refinancing through them. Branden set me up with a lower rate, cutting my weekly payments almost in half. He even personally delivered the sweetest closing gift. Class act all around.

My advice: Always go through a broker. They have access to rates from several different lenders, not just YOUR bank.
More advice: Reach out to Strata to see what they can do for you. They have streamlined the process to make it easy, even if you are fairly naive to this sort of stuff as I was. Also, you don't even have to leave your home if you don't want to. All of the appointments can be done virtually.

Brett and Pauline were great. From start to finish they were available to answer any questions and communicated clearly and efficiently what documentation was needed and the process. I highly recommend Brett Parnham at Strata Mortgage Team. Brett was very instrumental in guiding me through getting a mortgage for my first house. He always took the time to answer all my questions...there were a lot. And when it came down to the crunch, he went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly so we were able to meet the closing deadline.
