    Dean's home hardware store is awesome. The people and the service are excellent. They have a good selection of products. They are just what a hometown store is all about.
    If you are looking for anything you will probably find it at Dean's.

    Dean's Home Hardware is the friendliest hardware store in the world! Just walking in the door makes you feel like part of the owners family. Not to mention the wood stove right by the door to warm you up on a cold winter day. They have a great selection and competitive prices compared to the big box stores.

    I just spoke with an employee on the phone re an order I placed for a father's day item more than a week before father's day. I was told at the time that it was in stock in the warehouse but usually takes a week after that to arrive. This would mean it would not likely arrive until the week after Father's day. This I understood and no big deal. As of today 1 week after father's day I had not heard anything, and it turns out we need the item, so I called to ask. The employee I spoke to started out fine and helpful enough. He went to look into the situation. When he came back he had a diffent story for me saying it was just arriving in the warehouse now and would be another week in arriving. Fine enough I suppose but when I questioned it a little and asked for some explanation or empathy at least he suddenly got quite rude, said "well, I can't control that" and proceeded to hang up on me! I suppose some would say I am just another fussy, complaining customer but I say, too bad, I deserve your understanding, respect and attempt to manage the situation. An apology would have been nice. Good thing Dean is a good guy and this store typically impresses. Thus employee however seems to be a different story!
