Needs more parking spaces but the walks are really nice. You get to see the ponds and lakes all around which was great.

Beautiful in visual department BUT you can always hear the (not so heavy though) traffic from the the road nearby, so it's not like 100% nature. Wasn't so crowded, neither, even though it was Sunday. Overall good destination for a day escape from big city (2 hrs drive from Toronto). Bear in mind: no facilities.

Did the 3km hike (there are also 8km options) as a family. Fairly level walk - my 7y/o was able to keep up. Some parts are a bit uneven, path is over the rocks by the lake. Beautiful scenery.

Visited today (August long weekend 2019). We did the 8km hike and it was great. It’s not difficult, no real elevation change, and it basically loops around the lake. It’s a forest hike so there are lots of roots and rocks. It took us 3h 45min including a 45min swimming break. We went at a moderate pace.

We did the trail counter clockwise as shown on the map. At around 6km in there are a number of good swimming spots that start to appear on the east side of the lake. The rocks are flat and the water is shallow, allowing for easy entry and lounging. From the west side we saw lots of people already hanging out there so as we approached we found another good spot about 10 mins earlier on the trail. There are so many spots to get into the lake that part of the fun is just finding and choosing one.

Despite there already being 30 cars parked, we didn’t come across that many people. It didn’t feel crowded.

Overall this was a beautiful hike around a beautiful lake. A great way to spend the afternoon, especially swimming after getting sweaty.

My only regret is not packing a cold beer.

    Awesome, natural provincial park!

Bring bug repellent. I did not thinking that in the middle of the day in the beginning of July that the bugs wouldn’t be a problem. But they were. Wanted to do the 8km trail but turned around at 3km because I was getting eaten alive!

No trash bins so please take out whatever you bring in to keep the environment pristine and clean!

There was a port-a-potty near to the parking lot but other than that, no other facilities that I saw!

Many places to catch some sun and go for a dip!

Thank you Ontario Parks for this stunning location!
