The Roost

Stayed here a while ago and meant to review earlier, because it was one of the nicest stays I’ve had anywhere. The hosts are LOVELY, warm, sweet and thoughtful. The room & house were downright charming, beautifully and artistically arranged, it was comfortable, tastefully pulled together and so CLEAN (I used to be a room cleaner in a good hotel and I can be hard to impress this way, no notes, the place is spotless)! The room was quiet and perfectly located on the Main Street of this literally picture
-perfect small town full of locals who welcome visitors as personal guests and clearly take pride in their community. The breakfast - omg the breakfast - fresh squeezed juice, warm, melting and crispy French toast casserole that I have actually dreamed about since, eggs, sausage bacon.. the most sophisticated version of the best home cooked breakfast you can imagine.. what you might get if Ina Gardner was making you breakie. (Please note that Beth, our hostess, offered dietary accommodations when we made our reservations so no worries if you have food allergies/ vegetarian/vegan diet to think about). GO TO WARKWORTH AND STAY HERE!! (Tip: you may be treated to a touch of magic before you check out! ;)

Bright clean and oh the personal touches to decor are lovely. never had better breakfast or conversation. Come for the bed but stay for the breakfast and magic, o yes there's a great deal of magic. very warm and hospitable, truly enjoyed our stay.

We came to Walkworth to celebrate a friends birthday. Jamie and his wife are soo welcoming and kind. Ensuring to take care of all our needs. Their house is beautiful! They made us an amazingly delicious breakfast in the morning. Jamie also showed us a couple magic tricks which were awesome!
Loved the stay and definitely recommend to anyone visiting Walkworth.

Jamie and Beth were so helpful and accommodating for my every need and beyond. I actually felt like I was coming "home" at the end of a very long day. After a sound sleep, I was gently awakened by a pre-booked wake-up-knock on my door. Then I was thoroughly spoiled by their insanely delicious "Maple Madness" breakfast and - at my request - their fascinating and fun company during breaky. This was the most welcoming and comfy B&B experience I've ever had. Thanks again, Beth and Jamie!
