Shawn is engaged with helping the customer with his site and personal emails. It is my first time making a concrete chimney cap and want to do a perfect job as it is so much work, but rewarding. His help was sorely needed. The most important issue is making sure there is a bond break between the chimney cap and chimney chase to prevent cracking. Expansion and contraction is unequal with these 2 structures and hence the caps are always cracking unless you allow for a break. Found out the 4" slab I am making is too thin for rebar so was advised to use Dura Wire which is thinner and galvanized. For the bond break I used Dupont Window wrap plastic with adhesive base. BlueSkin is good too but I could not get it in smaller rolls.

Shawn is a very nice person and a great mason. He did a great job on my brick work when I had a new window installed in the side of my house. He provided detailed paperwork, an accurate estimate, he showed up on time every time he said he would. The work was completed quickly and with a minimum amount of fuss. He also cleaned up properly.

He matched the existing brick perfectly and my new window looks like it was built when the house was. I heartily recommend him if you are looking for a red seal mason.
