Da Silva Upholsterers

Da Silva’s just completed an upholstery job for us on a mid 20th century love seat and two chairs originally from the UK and recovered at least once before. My wife and I found the service a bit different. Margarita was the type to point you in a direction and then leave you to it. That works for my wife and I in preference to a hovering person. It is true we had to wait a few months longer than we anticipated to get the job picked up. I was about to call the shop and enquire as to the problem - I was thinking indifference - when Margarita called to say they were ready to pick it up. Things then moved quickly and efficiently. As it happened we could not receive the job back for a few weeks. Da Silva hung on to it for us - no issue.

The job was promptly delivered when we returned from holiday and both my wife and I were entirely satisfied with the quality of the work. No errors, no problems, no unpleasant surprises. Just a job of excellent quality delivered at a reasonable price.

The pick up and delivery teams were polite, clean cut and represented the company well. The arrived when they said they would.

Overall I would say that if the company does good work and at a reasonable price, you might expect to have to wait a bit in a queue.

Da Silva did a lovely job! They were helpful, providing excellent advice when we were getting the project started. They were happy to use vintage upholstery fabric that I had and pair it with a new complementary fabric so that the project could come together. And…they got much more out of the vintage fabric than I’d been expecting.
My advice to other customers: if you don’t quite know what you want, listen carefully to Da Silva and follow their recommendations! I am more than pleased with the results.

I chose to go into Da Silva Upholsterers after checking the associated Google reviews. One review was unfavorable posted by an individual after an obviously brief phone conversation. The staff was incredibly helpful, answered all my questions and provided me with some viable options. The staff appear extremely attentive, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend a visit if you have a favorite piece you want reupholstered.
