The Foot Collective Ottawa

I have flat feet and hammer toes and my friend Ted introduced me to The Foot Collective and their podcast. I've already been working on arch strengthening and extending range of my toes. The introduction to the barefoot movement has got me thinking of going to the next level in foot health, but also posture health. The guys who were working were knowledgeable and super helpful with introducing us to the shoes and getting us set up. I purchased a pair Vivo Barefoot Otillo shoes and am happily wearing them at the office now. Thanks for helping us out and hooking us up with awesome gear!

The Foot Collective is a barefoot movement company that provides seminars and promotes foot education. They host a podcast called the TFC Audio Project. The founders are physical therapists who take an alternative approach to treating foot pain.

I visited the shop to purchase some minimalist shoes with a friend. We were happy with the selection of minimalist shoes, which is greater than any store I've ever heard of. Very hard-to-find brands find a happy home here. I ended up purchasing some Earth Runner sandals, Injiji toe socks, a toe spreader. My friend ended up with a nice pair of athletic/casual hybrid Vivobarefoot shoes.

The location is small and a little cramped, but you walk in, take off your shoes, and talk about your feet. There are cool rocks built into the flooring that give a satisfying feel for the bare foot. I look forward to visiting in the future as the selection of brands and shoes they offer grows.
