(May 3, 2019, 12:18 pm)Every neighbourhood needs a local bookstore with just enough stock that you aren't overwhelmed by all the choices ( scented chocolate chip candles, anyone?). Books on Beechwood doesn't have those but they do have a lot of somewhat esoteric books that I buy and are usually not carried by the chains. They also happen to be beside the Scone Witch which makes the best oatmeal scones in Eastern Ontario. This is a winning combination.

(March 23, 2019, 11:19 pm)I love neighborhood bookstores. The reason being, I always find something to buy or see a book I hadn't realized had been released on a topic I'm interested in. The larger chain stores are overwhelming in their selection that when I do pass through I always leave empty handed. More power to the locals.
