    I had my VSG surgery almost a year ago with Dr.Cobourn. my experience might be different then someone who lives local, since I am an out of town patient. I met Dr.Cobourn an hour before my surgery and spoke to him twice post op ( day 1 and day 5.) I spoke to one nurse post op and took the two classes mandatory. After being sleeved for 8ish months I finally wrote an email expressing my frustration with the post op care. I thought I would have had some sort of communication asking how I am doing, if I had any questions, if I was struggling, how much weight I have lost or if I just something. There was nothing until I wrote the email. Then every 6 weeks I would get a call which was nice. I didnt feel alone in this journey until she missed our phone apt December 5th and she still hasn't been in contact with me. I feel if you're spending almost 20grand on a surgery you should get some sort of post op care. I'm not sure if in town patients receive the same, but they should at least try to make you feel like you matter rather then just a paycheck to them. Dr.Cobourn is good at what he does surgery wise, but he or th nurses should at least try to reach out and see how you're doing without having to be told.

    I had the vertical sleeve surgery and im very pleased with everything I had no complications had direct access to Dr Cobourn the staff was friendly and very helpful so happy with my results.
