Love the old world mansion atmosphere, and the service is top notch. Definitely staying here again.

This was our first travel outing since the onset of COVID, and it was idyllic. The stay was relaxing, the breakfast and coffee superb, and location for walking to plays and shops very convenient. We will be repeat customers!

We stayed at the Stone Maiden Inn for our 39th wedding anniversary on Sept 4th a took the Princess Diana suite for this special occasion.
We started to notice that the room had not been cleaned as it should have been especially during these times. The bathroom floor was dirty as well as the mirrors. The area rug had not been vacuumed and had long blonde hair on it.
I must say the home itself is beautiful with large chandeliers hanging in the halls and some of the main rooms. However these as well could have stood a good cleaning as cobwebs were hanging from many of them.
The breakfast was fantastic a lovely fruit bread accompanied by perfectly cooked eggs benedict and great coffee. However again I noticed that where I was sitting near the fireplace in the dining room had cobwebs and spider webs right next to where we were eating. Someone had spilled coffee over the white tablecloth and this was not changed but noted by my wife who sat down and felt the cold on her leg.
My wife who works in travel emailed the innkeeper, included photos she took to discuss this and report with him without using social media but we have not had any response.
I have given the Inn three stars only because of the excellent breakfast served to us however I do believe that this Inn could be rated higher if it was only cleaned properly and attention to the details of cleaning in the rooms and the main areas.
We would not recommend this inn until such time as this is being done.

We visited for two nights in late June. The house is lovely, with a lot of history. There are several common rooms, including an enclosed patio. The breakfasts are delicious, though next time we come, I'll have to try the waffles. The location is slightly out-of-the-way from the theatres, but still a comfortable walk.

This Inn is truly amazing! Every room is decorated with beautiful antiques yet all the modern conveniences are in each room such as showers, TV, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The Breakfast, simply delicious made by a chef. The owner will take you on a tour of rooms not occupied so you can all the terrific furnishings. There is also a snooker table and other games if you are interested.
