Whispering Pines Campground

Make no mistake: Whispering Pines is rustic camping, so your experience will be a return to the basics. That being said, the land is stunning, mystical, and welcoming. The lake is refreshing, the beach is wide, and the bonfires are magical. I've been going to Whispering Pines for years for events and festivals, and every time I leave the campground, I yearn to return and reconnect with the land that knows me.

If you really wanna rough it... and really have your own intimate spot, it's cheap so worth it????????

I was there the same weekend as the previous reviewer! I enjoyed the music festival! On the Saturday it was great! There was a DJ and awesome lights and it was still far enough way from everything that you didn’t hear it all over the site.

As for the rest of the campground it’s a very nice place, I love the tranquility of it. It was beautiful. The lake was very refreshing! There’s a variety of different places to stay, some campsites surrounded by trees, some a bit more open, some near the beach/lake. I’d definitely go again! There is a place to shower and other various amenities around.

It’s a very natural place. 5 stars for whispering pines.
