I rented a FatBike from a company called Twilight Forest that delivers them to the Durham Forest and hosts events through MeetUp there sometimes too. I believe they have snow shoes too. Great service and very friendly staff. I had a great ride and truly enjoyed the forest. I would like to take some friends with me to try the FatBikes next time and try snow shoeing in the winter as well. -

(February 19, 2018, 7:13 pm)This is one of the top places that when we wish to visit for a natural experience in the Toronto area. There is an abundance of trails suitable for mountain biking. These trails are maintained by the Durham mountain bike Association and are in top notch condition.

As for mountain biking, none of the trails are overly difficult difficult nor are they too easy. It is kind of a Goldilocks place. You can ride and contemplate and enjoy the silence and the occasional glimpse of Wildlife.
