Whitby Public Library - Rossland Branch

I was there sometimes with my Life Skills class to check out books during our outing.

I was amazed when I first went to the library in Whitby. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING. I home school my kids so it's a regular place that we go. It has everything for everyone. The layout is very contemporary. Private rooms with windows and glass walls upstairs for groups work. Very comfy seating for long afternoons. They have amazing programs for kids and a computer section for them as well. It's hard to think of something that they don't have. When you go it's hard to leave.

Very friendly staff, quite a decent selection of materials. Small place. Computers, scanner, printer. As well as a light station, which has benefits for depression and winter months seasonal affective disorder.

I like to bring my little one in every now and then to do some reading. Very close to home for me. Also... Nichole (library assistant) is very helpful!

Nice little branch. Has lots of kids materials to browse and check out.
