This is a relaxing place to visit if you want to learn about Theravada Buddhism and meet female monks. It's perfect if you're a female and are interested in learning about the teachings of the Buddha. Inside is beautiful, there are three statues of Buddha and his two great disciples. It's a calm place and you can also give food to the monks by contacting the person that arranged the giving of food. Beautiful!

One of the two best places here in GTA to practise the Original Buddhist Teachings. I have visited the Nuns monastery countless times and have also attended the Resident Meditation Program conducted for female devotees few times. The compassionate nun's guided me through immense teachings of finding peace within me through virtuous behaviours and meditation. If anyone sees a good quality in me, that is only due to practising the Original Teachings of the Buddha which explained through Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monasteries.

A quiet, serene place. All are welcomed and have the opportunity for spiritual discussions. You may attend a guided meditation session or find yourself the tranquility to meditate on your own. There is a library of Buddhist Dhamma books, as well, for reference. Makes for an uplifting experience!

Quiet and serene sanctuary for those who are looking for a peace of mind and escape from stress, anxiety and worry. Come and soothe your minds by connecting your thoughts with kindness and compassion under the benevolent guidance of Buddhist nuns.

Really good place to learn about Buddhism and the right way to do meditation! They closely follow the sermons or exact teachings of the Buddha, therefore there is no room for interpretation. This way the real meaning is preserved. What you get is what the Buddha taught about life. If you want to learn about Buddhism or get away from the stressful busy life, this is the place.
