Silvercreek Canoes

I purchased a 17’ Prospector from here last year and I love it! It paddle so nicely and it’s so easy to maneuver, even if you’re solo! I am immensely impressed with the quality of the canoe and the weight. I picked a lighter model and don’t regret it. It’s a very reasonable weight (54lbs) even if you are carrying a pack at the same time.

I have taken It on some canoe trips and it performed very well.

The owner is an awesome guy and he is very helpful with the whole process and provides insights and suggestions. It took only 1 week for him to make my canoe! I was very impressed with the speed it was completed! And as far as I know, it’s just him in his shop so I am glad he’s there to pay attention to detail.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is in the market. At the time I bought one, he had several different models I could try out to get the right feel for me.

Stu was very helpful and patient with explaining what each material's benefits and draw backs were. He took the time to ask the question about where and how I plan to use the canoe, than walk me though my options until we were both satisfied that I was getting the right canoe for the job at hand.

I just had the pleasure of dealing with Stu at Silvercreek Canoes.
He showed me the different types and styles of canoes he had, answered all questions I had. Stu is very relaxed, no pressure sales very easy going and seems to build quality stuff.
I end up buying a Escape 13.8 solo canoe, I will review it once a paddled it a couple time.

Wow...What a great guy to deal with. Stu will look after you and stand by his product. Very well built canoe. There are few places where you can buy a canoe and get a warranty like Stu offers and you know he will stand by his product.
