St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church

Very nice church. Very good acoustics and lighting. It is a very calming place to sit and contemplate.
However, It depends though on the priest how is there at the time. There have some exceptional ones and then there have been others who not so. The current one is sort of middle in that pack. Friendly enough but not exactly inspiring (especially for a non catholic attendee).
Again, a comment from a non-catholic.

Midnight Mass. Very nice

It's a beautiful church. Great community. The kids performed a Christmas pageant and did a fabulous job. I loved it!

This was my childhood church. Went here every week for years and years and attended the school next door. I have a lot of good memories stemming from experiences at this church. I hadn't been to St. Gabe's in maybe 10 years until this recently past Christmas Eve. I was a little shocked by the low number of attendees for a Christmas eve mass. Also it looks like they wound both the English and Polish priests into one position, which is understandable. It also looked like nothing had physically changed there in the 10 or so years which was actually a nice surprise. Hopefully this church can survive the changing times. It's a really nice place and I'm glad I made a trip back after being away for so long.

I normally don't do reviews on places of worship and give all I have visited 5/5 as they deserve it in this day and age. This being the case I have to say what a lovely welcoming beautiful Parish this is. My fiancee and I were up a few weeks ago for a weekend workshop and attended here on the Saturday evening vigil. We were greeted with open arms as if we had been going there our entire lives. We, 2 complete strangers, were even asked to partake in the Mass by bringing up the gifts. Many places, not just Churches, could learn from this positive welcoming and loving way.
