Highland Woodcraft

We worked with Mike and Highland Woodcraft to complete our dining room table, the center piece of our dining room/living room renovation project, and I can't stress enough how thrilled I am with the result and the process overall! We were able to customize every aspect of the piece which was the most exciting part, as the customized features we selected not only enhanced the aesthetics of the piece but made it extremely functional for our space. We had a couple of unique challenges to work with on this project, including existing cabinetry which we wanted the table to compliment as well as a long somewhat skinny room, however we have a growing family and wanted the table to be large enough to fit the whole crew. Mike came up with initial design plans, complete with recommendations, but was flexible and able to incorporate our suggestions into the process. He then went to work, creating the highest quality piece of furniture I have in my home. The table is fantastic in every way - the colour, the wood grain, the quality and durability, the feel, and the function, as it extends with a leaf insert to over 10' long but is easily collapsible for everyday use when guests are not over. The craftsmanship truly sets Highland Woodcraft apart, as my two children have already put the table to the test in terms of crafts, meals and everything in between, and the table easily wipes down and looks brand new. Asked for a simple cutting board and Mike went above and beyond. Great customer service and flexibility - checking in with the colour and engraving decisions. The final product looked better than I imagined and the quality is great! Will definitely come back with more/bigger projects in the future.
