Job Skills

As a women in her 70's I came into jobskills for some resources about volunteering. I was greeted by a polite and well spoken young women who took the time to explain possible resources that I could use. Although she seemed busy, she made sure I was looked after and cared for. She also was kind enough to show me the proper directions to my doctors office. She clearly enjoys working with the clients she serves and I hope to see more individuals like her in this line of work.

I have been to 2 other career centres in Brampton / Mississauga and the service I got at job skill was above standards to say the least. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. I am an Internationally Trained Engineer and my counselor referred me to a bridging program in Ontario. She made sure I was ok financially and with her contact and practice with interview skills I got a job before I had to enter the program. Thank you to all staff at job skills. I have gained confidence and relieved that i have a good job for the past 3 months and able to return back to the workforce to contribute to society and take care of my children.
