Alton Mill Arts Centre

Found this spot after visiting a local restaurant. It’s a great spot to explore the works of local artists in the gallery however I found the pieces outside the building much more intriguing. I thoroughly enjoyed the outside seating areas.

A great place to visit....great art and events

I've visited the Alton Mill Arts Centre thrice in the past two years. This year however we went for the Fire & Ice Festival in January on what was then one of the coldest days of the year. The Festival was in part sponsored by Fireball Whisky and Fireball Hot Chocolate was very welcome and made the cold bearable. The burning of the ice sculpture was amazing. This year the sculpture was a dragon and was dynamic. The dragon rose from the fire and spread it's wings as the fire burned. After that we took in the pulled pork sandwiches and cider from the Local Spirit Tree Cider House. A great evening. Kudos to the organizers and we will be back again in 2020.

Love the Arts Centre! My husband and I got married in the ruins behind the Mill and not only were the grounds beautiful, the staff was so helpful as well! Would highly recommend this venue to any bride looking for an elegant, simple, and rustic venue for their wedding!
