We contacted Duke of York Electric through homestars.ca to check out our house electrical system following the Aug 28, 2021 storm which caused several ceiling lights and wall electrical outlets to stop working.
Kyle, the owner, came to the house and was able to troubleshoot the damage and restore power in the affected areas.

We found Kyle to be very friendly, honest and really good at what he does. The entire process was very professional. And to top it off, the invoice amount was also very reasonable.
It's hard to find good trades people who are good at their jobs and who are also sincere and trustworthy. Kyle is one of them!

Kyle was great to work with, from start to finish. He was timely with his response to my service request and it was very easy to schedule in an appointment with him. When he was was working on my kitchen light he explained what he did, the cause of the issue and answered additional questions I had which was very helpful. I will definitely use Kyle again for any future requests and recommend him to others.

Working with Kyle was pleasant from the moment we connected. I immediately noticed his professionalism and felt that the quote he gave us was very reasonable. He installed an outdoor outlet receptacle for us and it's been working out very well. He also cleaned up nicely after he did all the work! Which I really appreciated. I've heard before of contractors who leave a mess, but Duke of York Electric is not at all like that.
What I particularly liked about working with Kyle was how patient he was in answering all my questions and explaining everything he was going to do and how it works. His communication was fantastic, and he did a great job. I'm no electrical expert, so hiring someone I could trust was of utmost importance. If you hire him, you won't be disappointed. But after a quick phone call, you'll just know what I mean. 10/10 would hire him again and recommend him to others.
