Akai Take Budō Classical Martial Arts

Amazing place to train for Karate. My 2 kids love it and my husband trains with them.

I have now trained with Sensei Porter for over a year and a half now. I came to her with a brain injury. I had just spent nearly 2 years learning to walk again. I was a wreck, my life in ruins.
My life is very different now. I am starting week 4 of an 8 week camping trip. I am able to do this from what i have re learned in training .
My body can move again, but most importantly to me, i am no longer angry when i fall, i fail at what i am trying, when people get angry with me. I am far better niw in dealing with my son.
Basically i have been given a new life through my training in this center.
Nobody makes fun if me just respects for my trying so hard

My daughter and I take the parent/child class together, and it's been incredible watching her monumental progress and growth over the past year. She's now a very different girl: strong, thoughtful, respectful, and full of confidence. Sensei Dawn is a gifted teacher who effortlessly nurtures and guides her students of all ages. She teaches that martial arts training is a way of living, and that it touches all aspects of our life, focusing on courtesy, respect, and responsibility. I encourage anyone looking for martial arts training, or even just a place where their child can learn about how to live a full and fruitful life, to give Akai Take Budo a try!

Dawn porter has made a safe place to learn the martial arts. Her unique way of teaching makes learning fun. It is not easy at all, but fun.
For anybody that wishes to learn the martial arts this is a fantastic place to learn. I highly recommend it.
