YO! Sushi

YO! Sushi recently opened up so it was decided to try them out for New Year's Eve.

Keep in mind, the place was busy and they were trying their best to fulfill orders, so my order did take a while, despite ordering two hours in advance. They supposedly accept debit and credit cards, and are on the usual stack of online ordering platforms. Be forewarned! They accept CASH ONLY for their sushi platters, as clearly stated on their menu.

In general, the food was just okay - An "A" for effort, and a C+ on overall food. The rice was either under seasoned, or not seasoned at all, and was a bit chewy. I can't tell if it's the type of rice used, or if their water to rice ratios were off. The tempura batter was quite heavy, and the shrimp was overcooked. A few pieces of sashimi missed the mark. While there is room for improvement, they did make a genuine effort to get their wall of orders through for hungry patrons for New Year's Eve. I would be hard pressed to try again, despite the flurry of 5 star reviews.

My favourite spot in town!! SO FRESH & YUMMY. I literally order from here once & even twice a week. There’s nothing that I don’t like from the menu. If you love sushi then this is the place for you !!

Great service, amazing food!

3.5 not bad sushi and poki bowls are my absolute favorite so im a tough judge. Picked a salmon and spicy tuna bowl customized with own fillings but when I got home the tuna was stringy I'm not used to this it was weird and I wasn't a fan while the sushi pieces were favorable a mouthful quite generic.Gave miso soup for free a green dragon and torched version but there was an unplesant mechanical aftertaste on that one. About $50 in total room for improvement may give another try someday down the line.
